Sony LED TVs - Getting the Big Picture
by W. Chin - Clayton, Ca. U.S.A.
Thank you for providing this article on Sony. It provides the consumer a well organized picture and description of the Sony product line.
There's so much product out in the market, it can be very overwhelming and confusing to the buyer. By giving us consumers a landscape view of what is available, I can't tell you how invaluable it is in helping me target the TV that best fits my needs.
This article gives me great comfort because I feel better informed about the options before I make my purchase.
Thank you again.
Panel repairs - LED vs LCD tvs
by Rahul Mitter - Kolkata, India
When it comes to repairing of panels, the general notion is that for LCD TVs it is almost impossible to repair panels and the same have always to be replaced with a new one making it a costly affair.
This also holds good for LED backlit LCD TVs. Whereas in the LED TVs defective panels are reparable involving less cost. Is this notion true universally?
Editor's Note: It is not possible to repair the LCD panel - whether this uses a LED or a CCFL backlight source. The same holds true for plasma display panels; the display panel is not something one can repair. In all cases, the display panel has to be replaced with a new one - often making it cheaper to replace the TV than to repair a TV requiring a display panel replacement.
SONY-GOOGLE TV
by Sarah - Denver,CO,US
I got this for my game room in my home and I think it was a great choice. I had so many TVs to select from, but I wanted something to go good with the Google TV.
I'm a consumer of DISH and an employee. I wanted to set up the Google TV so when friends or family come over, they can all play around with it.
I needed a clear picture and great quality this was the best I have ever seen!
