Samsung LCD LN52B750 - The Best LCD
by Peter S. Rubbo
(St.James city Florida)
I recently purchased Samsung's LN52B750. I'm blown away by the picture. I did a lot of comparison between LCD, LED and plasma
and honestly I can not see a better picture than the Samsung that I purchased. i think Samsung hit a home run with this LCD.
I would recommend this model to everyone. The only suggestion I would make is to buy a good surround system to improve on the sound. Oh and make sure that you have hi def sat or cable.
Most Expensive BUT Best Samsung for superior Quality Picture

Best site for Samsung review and explaining the difference between LCD and LCD w/back-lighting by LEDs. Backlight vs Edgelighting is also explained very well.
For the best overall quality TV, my money is on the Samsung 8000 Series LED backlit.
Thanks. I finally found the information I was looking for on your site.
Samsung LED/LCD 40

I paid $1199.00 for my brand new Samsung UM40B6000 LED/LCD,120 hertz. I shopped around online. All others were asking $1399.
Look at "PowersellersNYC" for the good price. I ordered it on a Saturday and UPS delivered (free) on the following Wednesday. I did have to pay NYS tax.
Cleaing Up the Confusion
by Wallace Dobbins

Your article of LED vs LCD televisions was extremely informative and clears up a lot of the recent hype of the LED technology and it's superior performance.
For the average viewer the differences in these technologies is beyond detection. It is fully understood that the bungling number surrounding "Contrast Ratio" is just a game by the manufacturers to confuse and lead the buyer down a mindless path that has no meaning.
Your article has confirmed my position on these issues.

Samsung Series 7 LCD-TV is significantly below that of the Series 8 and gives almost identical features. As an obsessive more-for-the-money shopper that's what I need to hear.
samsung, sony, panasonic or sharp led tv vs. lcd tv

I would prefer a led TV against an LCD TV due to no. 1 reason of less power consumption; and as you have explained, better picture quality as well.

THANKS, I felt the same on (SAMSUNG) LCD/ LED TVs. After all research, & as confusion TO All the hype, it comes down to $$$$$ for VALUE.

Comparing apples and oranges

The Samsung LED/LCD 6000 series 120 Hertz has a great price for the 40"---$1199. Compare that PRICE to the Sony XBR series and that 240 Hertz even though they are still only transmitting 60 Hertz.
Samsung delivers the great contrast ratio too at the best price. I looked and compared at all the usual outlets on the Web. See for yourself but make sure you use the whole correct Model#.
For Stan who mentioned that glass front on the LED, be careful what you clean it with--it's not glass even though it has a bit of reflection as compared to the plain LCD dull black screen.
Best Settings for Samsung 22-inch LCD TV

What would be right setting (picture mode, sound mode, etc) for viewing my LCD Samsung.
What extra enhancement to be attached for better sound out put?
LCD is easier on the eye
LCD at Best Buy, I find that LCD is easier on the eye than LED.
Inky blacks on the LED's do nothing for me.....
LCD - Best Option

Thanks for all the research. After reading your info I probably be buying the LCD. We are looking for a 32" for my son who will be using it for video games and blu rays with his buds so we think the price difference is not substantiated.
We are the proud owners of the Samsung 55" 8000 LED and love it so we have some perspective.
Keep up the good work and thanks again.
LED TVs are great for those people sensitive to fluorescent lighting
by Greg

We recently purchased a UN40B7000 Samsung LED TV and could not be happier with it. Your review confirms all the positives we have noticed. The negatives have been negligible to us except sound quality which we will remedy with an audio system.
We have been waiting a long time for an affordable LED HDTV as one of our family members has a chronic illness that comes with a sensitivity to fluorescent lights and other radiation (hello Washington, D.C. - some people need incandescent or LED). They cannot be under fluorescent lights or watch CRT or LCD televisions without heart palpitations and significantly lowered blood pressure.
This TV has delivered excellent quality in a very stylish package and has resolved this issue for our family.
The cost of these sets (Samsung line) have come down significantly as we purchased our Samsung UN40B7000 and the BDP-3600 Blu-Ray for around $1600 + tax (Fry's June 2009). The Internet features, like Netflix and Pandora, are great!

We just bought a Samsung LED 8000 series. We notice that not all the letters are clear and that there is shadowing or shading around the outlines on heads, building, etc. Is this normal? Color is beautiful but this non clarity bothers us.

pick one plasma vs. led

Which TV should I buy both by Samsung, PN50B650 or UN55B8000?
I have a well lit living room in which I had to replace my 47lg50, after 15 mo. Sound is not a consideration because I have a wonderful Denon/Klipsch system. It will be mounted over my fire place, which we use sparingly. I know about the price differences but feel if the value is with Led I would make that investment.
Thanks for your input.
