Projector Screens - Measure Your Throw Distance

by Tony Hersey
(Phoenix, Arizona)

Home Theater Screen

Projector Screen Size and Throw Distance:

Before you buy a screen for your home theater be sure to put your projector through a projection calculator and measure the distance that your projector will be away from the screen.

Be sure to put in the correct aspect ratio for example 16:9.

For example a 45" X 80" screen is 45-inch high by 80-inch wide. The diagonal measurement will be 92 inches which means the measurement from corner to corner of this projector screen.

Your projector's throw distance capabilities will determine the size of your screen based on how much distance that you have to work with.
