Overall value - Sony LED TVs can't compete

Sony has simply missed the price point on their LED/LCD tech. Maybe they invested more trying to invent or enhance their own technology for LED displays; but at the end of the day their product is going to market against too stiff a list of competitors to ask for this kind of price.

Most consumers will view these units as just another option amongst many other highly capable LCD displays and very few people will look at side by side comparisons and choose to pay an extra $2k to get practically the same product.

Oh, and that viewing angle issue...BIG! deal when you're talking about comparing this tech against traditional LCD/Plasma displays with near 180 degree viewing angles that have next to no distortion. LED/LCD tech is just not quite ready for prime-time and premium pricing ...but at least Samsung didn't completely miss the price-point.

If Sony is relying on blind brand loyalty, that's just foolish.
