We just bought a Samsung LED 8000 series. We notice that not all the letters are clear and that there is shadowing or shading around the outlines on heads, building, etc. Is this normal? Color is beautiful but this non clarity bothers us.

It sounds more like you have a cable issue. There can be a ground problem or not a good connection somewhere. If this is new construction, it could be the way the wires are terminated.

We have seen this before with other companies. I would try other locations in your home as well, with the same TV. This is a pain in the rear, but I'm pretty sure it's not a Samsung issue.

What kind of connection do you have (component, HDMI)
