LED TVs are great for those people sensitive to fluorescent lighting

by Greg
(Brenham, TX)

We recently purchased a UN40B7000 Samsung LED TV and could not be happier with it. Your review confirms all the positives we have noticed. The negatives have been negligible to us except sound quality which we will remedy with an audio system.

We have been waiting a long time for an affordable LED HDTV as one of our family members has a chronic illness that comes with a sensitivity to fluorescent lights and other radiation (hello Washington, D.C. - some people need incandescent or LED). They cannot be under fluorescent lights or watch CRT or LCD televisions without heart palpitations and significantly lowered blood pressure.

This TV has delivered excellent quality in a very stylish package and has resolved this issue for our family.

The cost of these sets (Samsung line) have come down significantly as we purchased our Samsung UN40B7000 and the BDP-3600 Blu-Ray for around $1600 + tax (Fry's June 2009). The Internet features, like Netflix and Pandora, are great!
