LED SHOPPING - SONY vs. SAMSUNG Panel Thickness

by BULL DOG FAN
(ATLANTA, GA)

I think the thickness of the set is an issue - plus one for Samsung.

I don't like the side mounted speakers on the Sony - plus two for Samsung.

That said, the picture quality and life like colors of the Sony are far better in my view. Everyone on the Samsung picture looks like they have a sunburn to me. A side by side comparison makes this clear. I am wating for Sony to annouce their next LED, without the speakers on the side and thinner.

Unless the new plasma coming from Panasonic this summer changes my mind, or Sony disappoints me with their new version of the LED's, I have made my choice.

Money is always a consideration but not when I'm making a purchase I expect to keep for 10 years.
