LCD LED TV SAMSUNG VS SONY

by RAYMOND
(CARSON, CA. U.S.A.)

I viewed both TVs with an open mind for an hour with my 18 year old who has excellent vision.

We both agreed the Samsung A950 edged out the Sony but not by much. And also Samsung will be upgradeable via software in the future - now that's way cool.

Confused, can you shed some LED light on it?
by: Anonymous

In a three part shoot out between the Samsung LED TV and the Sony LED, the article simply states " On the plus side, the Sony Ethernet connection allows you to receive firmware upgrades direct via the TV Ethernet port over your home network internet connection. In contrast, the Samsung A950 does lack this convenience. Yet the DLNA support on the Samsung A950 - despite not being truly DLNA compliant as it will only work with the provided Samsung DLNA server software - supports a wider range of music, video, and photo files.

What confuses me isn't it better to have an ethernet conection that ties you directly into the internet for upgrades and does also provide a better integration for wi-fi? I'm really confused about this subject can you shed some LED light on it?
