Have you seen most of the websites that offer Direct TV and other electronic entertainment options on the internet? I have!

Most of the sites are just marketing pages providing lots of flashing advertising with "Buy Here" or "click There" links scattered around, but lacking information on what's under the hood.

Did you know that a satellite receiver is a single purpose computer that demodulates a digital signal which allows you to watch TV? There are significant and confusing differences in the technology and programming offered by the various TV providers. I worked in the satellite TV industry for many years and saw the industry from the inside.

Since I have worked with people like yourself who have installed cable and satellite TV in their homes, I know which receivers, companies and programming offer the best solutions to your entertainment needs and have written many articles on the subject.

Cable TV is an old and tired technology left over from the eighties. When your get digital cable in most cases, not all of the channels are even digital, with the rest being analog. They fall even further behind when it comes to high definition programming. I'm still amazed these companies are even allowed to call it something it isn't. It's like buying a can of corn, but when you open the can it turns out to be okra! By the way, I'm not an okra fan.

Before you get locked into a two year legal commitment, it's a good idea to discover which technologies are better, what the competition offers, and get the best entertainment solution for your money.

My word of advice?

Do your homework before you get stuck with something you don't want, like okra!
