Home Theater on a Budget:

Every day we receive calls from people throughout the country requesting our assistance in designing their Home Theaters. As innocent as this sounds, it’s not quite that simple.

First of all, what exactly is a Home Theater?

Many companies offer a $500 stereo and call it a Home Theater system.

For our purposes let’s define a Home Theater as a dedicated room that is acoustically and aesthetically designed to create an optimum viewing and listening experience. Obviously, a $500 stereo placed in a Living Room, would not be considered a Home Theater based on this definition.

The other main issue to consider is, how much does a typical Home Theaters cost? Once again, there is no simple answer to this question. Similar to asking how much does a house cost? The basic answer is how much do you want to spend on your theater. Without considering the electronics, a theater can range from $4,000 - $200,000. Your budget will determine if you should consider including decorative columns, detailed carpentry, quality theater seating, fiber-optic ceiling, custom proscenium, theater accessories and more.

The good news is that our Acoustic Panel Décor products are budget friendly and will allow you to create a beautiful theater at a very reasonable price. Many of our clients purchase just the acoustic panels from us, which cost $3000-$8,000, depending upon the size and quantity required for your theater.

Using art created specifically for the Home Theater Environment by Glen Hoffman, you can instantly transform any "naked" room into a beautiful Home Theater that sounds as good as it looks. Furthermore, you can have us reproduce any movie poster or high resolution landscape image for your custom acoustic panels.

The bottom line is that if you are investing in high end audio equipment, you must also consider the acoustic environment that they will be placed in. Every room should contain some kind of acoustic treatment to ensure that you are maximizing your investment in your equipment.

Our acoustic panel decor allows you to create a unique theater environment for a fraction of the price of a standard high end Home Theater.
