High Contrast Cinema Perf:
The 'Perf' screen fabric incorporates the same optical characteristics as the High Contrast Cinema Vision, but with a perforated surface to allow for the placement of a center channel speaker behind the screen surface. The perforated screen surface renders the screen acoustically transparent - thus allowing for the sound from the center speaker to transmit through the material. Ideal for use in environments with moderate control of ambient light. Washable, flame retardant and mildew resistant. High Contrast Audio Vision: The Da-Lite High Contrast Audio Vision screen fabric is basically an 'Audio-Vision' version of the High Contrast Da-Mat material. In fact, it has basically the same optical characteristics. In contrast to the Da-Mat fabric however, this high contrast screen fabric is designed to provide the viewer with a more realistic soundstage. Being perforated, it enables the speakers to be placed behind the screen while allowing the sound to be transmitted through the material. This screen surface is best used when there is good control of ambient lighting and a moderately wide viewing angle is desired. An affordable electric high contrast audio vision screen is the Da-Lite Tensioned 100" Diagonal Video Format Wall Screen. This has been designed with the home theater in mind.
