The best LED HDTVs from 2010 are now available at a great price.

These are being heavily discounted to make place for the new stock from 2011. Some may say that it is better to buy the new models from 2011 but we do not think you will be missing much. As we have said in one of our articles elsewhere on this site, while there is definitely a place for improvement on 2010 sets, yet the picture quality we have seen on 2010 LED HDTVs is truly impressive.

In this respect, we doubt that any marginal improvements TV makers will come up with will be worth the higher initial price the new sets will demand. In other words, if you are thinking of buying a LED TV, now is the time to enjoy one of the best LED HDTVs at a heavily reduced price!

This is one of the best LED HDTVs in terms of overall performance for your money. It represents Samsung entry-level 120Hz LED TVs with Auto Motion Plus technology. Main features include a dynamic contrast ratio of 4,000,000:1, and an improved picture engine - termed HyperReal Engine.

As usual, Samsung's Auto Motion Plus dejudder processing is one of Samsung HDTVs strengths thanks to a custom mode with independent slider settings for Blur reduction (this affects video-based sources) and Judder reduction (for film-based sources.)

LG 55LE5400

LG 55LE5400 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Internet Applications

This LG LED TV is one of the best selling LG LED TVs for 2010. As is typical of LG, its HDTVs come with a most exhaustive feature set; in this respect, this is one of the best LED HDTVs around - with its main competition being from the Samsung C6300 LED TV.

Main upgrades over the less expensive series include a higher dynamic mega-contrast rating of 4,000,000:1, a second USB2.0 port, and more important, the presence of LG NetCast Internet-based Entertainment access. The latter is one of the best implemented Internet-based TV entertainment platforms around. These LG LED HDTVs also come as Wi-Fi ready - meaning that all that is required to enjoy wireless network connectivity, is to plug in the optional LG AN-WF100 Wi-Fi USB adapter.

LG 32LE5300

LG 32LE5300 32-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED LCD VA Panel HDTV

This is the second LG LED TV in our 'best LED HDTV' list. Though the LE5300 series represents LG's entry level LED TVs, they still come with a most complete feature set. Typical features include the presence of LG's 120Hz TruMotion dejudder technology on the larger screen sizes within the series, 24p Real Cinema 5:5 Pulldown technology, Picture Wizard II for easy picture calibration and LG's Intelligent sensor for more comfortable viewing.

These are among the most affordable LED TVs on the market; there is definitely a lot to like for a budget-class LED TV if the screen size of the LG LE5300 series falls within your requirements.

Samsung UN55C6500 - Samsung Best LED HDTV overall

Samsung UN55C6500 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV

Samsung UNC6500 series LED TVs are our preferred HDTVs from the full Samsung lineup. They are relatively affordable, and for the price you get a more stylish design than that found on the UNC6300 series - characterized by its rather unique four-legged base.

Main upgrade over the C6300 series is Samsung Apps Internet connectivity. These HDTVs also come with DLNA support and a slightly improved dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1.

These may not be the best LED HDTVs around but at their present reduced price, Series 6 Samsung LED HDTVs represent a great TV option complemented by a superior feature set and a solid HD picture.

Vizio M260MV

VIZIO M260MV 26-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV with Razor LED Backlighting

This is our first Vizio in this lineup of the best LED HDTVs in our list. It is also the cheapest around at under $300, partly due to its smaller screen size, but not only. Vizio is definitely renowned as a budget-class TV maker.

This does not mean that Vizio TVs are of a lower quality. The only real problem of this 26-inch LED TV is its inferior sound. Otherwise, you get an-inch thin LED TV capable of a good picture for the price of an LCD TV.
Sony KDL-46NX810

Sony BRAVIA KDL46NX810 46-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3D-Ready LED HDTV

This is the only Sony LED TV in our 'Best LED HDTV' list. Sony did come with an extensive range of LED TVs for 2010 but they turned up to be a bit expensive in comparison with the competition. Otherwise, Sony's LED HDTVs are among the best in terms of features and picture performance.

The KDL-NX810 Sony LED TV series is one of Sony's premium 1080p 240Hz LED HDTVs that come as 3D-ready. In fact, this 3D feature is the only real upgrade over the less expensive KDL-NX800 2D Sony LED TV equivalent.

Samsung UN55C8000

Samsung UN55C8000 55-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3D LED HDTV

Samsung Series UNC8000 is one of the most popular LED TV series among those looking for a premium LED TV. It is also one of Samsung's LED TV series that steps into the third dimension.

Like the UNC6500 series referred to in this article, the C8000 is characterized by Samsung's latest four-legged design. However, the real upgrade of the C8000 over the rest of the Samsung LED TV lineup is what Samsung refers to as 'precision dimming' LED backlight technology.

Precision dimming is not the perfect backlight technology despite Samsung's promotion; it still has its limitations with respect to full-array local dimming backlights. But it is possibly the best compromise TV makers manage to come up with, between the added expense of a full-array local dimming LED backlight and improved black level performance that is very much in line - though to a less extent - to that supported by the more expensive local dimming LED technology.

Other features include an ultra-slim design that is just 0.9-inches thin despite the 55-inch screen size, Samsung Apps, Media Play, and AllShare - Samsung's updated DLNA connectivity.

Vizio XVT373SV

VIZIO XVT373SV 37-Inch Full HD 1080P LED LCD HDTV with VIA Internet Application, Black

As with the other Vizio LED TV referred to earlier on in this Best LED HDTV list, this is one of the cheapest LED TVs at this screen size that comes with 120Hz processing technology and Internet TV - also known as Vizio Internet Apps or VIA. The latter is one of the very best Internet TV platforms around.

It also come with what Vizio refers to as Smart Dimming LED backlight technology - one of the many derivatives of edge-lit LED dimming we have come across during 2010. This is basically the same as Samsung's precision dimming LED backlight technology found on the UNC8000 series.

We did not review this Vizio LED TV but we have seen its TV picture and thus understand why customer feedback posted online shows that the majority are extremely satisfied with this LED TV picture quality. For around $600, you get a great LED TV capable of a solid picture and Internet Apps.

VIZIO XVT473SV 47-inch Class Full Array TruLED LCD HDTV 240 Hz SPS with VIZIO Internet Apps

Within the same Vizio series at the larger screen size, we also find this 47-inch Vizio LED TV. Again, at its present reduced pricing of under $1,200, this is one of the best LED HDTVs for overall value. If it falls within your budget, this 47-inch Vizio LED TV delivers.
